This blog started out as an assignment for my AP Composition class. We had weekly assignments (which I didn't always do). I dreaded it at first, but now I love it. It was once named WiLd AdV3NtUr3s WiTh M3 or some variation of that. I changed the name in order to have a fresh start. Wonderstruck is a word that I fell in love with because of Taylor Swift's song Enchanted. This blog now is my source of venting. Truly it will be an insight to the inner-workings of my brain. Lucky you!

X2 The Rhetoric of Communication
This little snippet particularly caught my attention because the first bullet point is "a businessperson who leaves the restaurant table to answer a page" HELLO PET PEEVE! My parents have trained my siblings and me like dogs when it comes to manners. You forgot to say please? Squirt with water. You interrupted that lady. Squirt. Okay, so they didn't actually squirt us with water, but they might as well have. As cell phones and electronics have taken over the universe and even a six month old baby needs one in his or her hand, people's bahavior at the dinner table have gone even further down hill. Have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone at dinner while their head is hanging and their fingers are moving faster than Usain Bolt? Here's a little hint... he or she is NOT listening to you. Clearly there is a more important conversation to be had elsewhere. The list continues to offer up scenarios where everything is "urgent" or needs to be taken "now". It seems like we can't move fast enough. Do things fast enough. Be fast enough. Our fast pace society has translated in our language. If there is something of the slightest important you can't wait to tell someone you'll see in an hour when you can text them and let them know ASAP! Everything is growing and changing and moving faster and we're all just trying to keep and get the next best thing. Speed. It's the key as this little X2 points out.
