This blog started out as an assignment for my AP Composition class. We had weekly assignments (which I didn't always do). I dreaded it at first, but now I love it. It was once named WiLd AdV3NtUr3s WiTh M3 or some variation of that. I changed the name in order to have a fresh start. Wonderstruck is a word that I fell in love with because of Taylor Swift's song Enchanted. This blog now is my source of venting. Truly it will be an insight to the inner-workings of my brain. Lucky you!

Sticky Note City
As I sit at my computer, I notice the neon orange, hot pink, electric blue, and highlighter yellow sticky notes suctioning to the perimeter of my computer. The first to catch my eye says, "PAY EMILY TUITION; PAY CAROLINE TUITION; PAY BILLS." It is in a list formation and is clearly written in my dad's all uppercase, manly font. I know this must be his to-do list, but whether or not it has been completed, I do not know. Knowing my father, however, these tasks must have been taken care of. It is unlike him to leave things to the last minute. I'm guessing the sticky note is left up because these payments are monthly and therefore lingering constantly over his head. Moving on from that note, I notice one in my mother's half cursive- half chicken-scratch writing which reads, "Julia's ACT username and password." I will not disclose to you my username nor password for fear that anyone who reads this will see my scores and laugh in my face because they do not read 36. Just kidding...I know you guys wouldn't be that cruel, would you? There are easily 8 other sticky notes that contain various usernames and passwords all written in that same half and half, almost illegible handwriting that belongs to my mother. Her forgetfulness is a sign of the busy life she leads. With four kids pulling her limbs in opposing directions, it's no wonder that she has brief moments of scatter-brainededness. I on the other hand have no excuse. These notes define my parents to an extent and make me laugh a little because I know that this is the road that I'm headed down when I'm older.
