Tonight I went to Rancho Grande in Buffalo, MN. It was fantastic. I love fajitas and rice. Especially rice. I wish I had proof, video evidence to be specific, to show you. Some might be appalled by my animalistic behavior, but there could be the occasional fellow fajita lover who appreciates my candor. I'm blatantly admitting to you all that I inhaled my dinner. I literally devoured it. Scarfed it down. My mouth was acting like a vaccum, eager to suck up ever last juicy tidbit of chicken and julienned slice of green peppers. I felt like the man in the poem, "Eating Poetry" by Mark Strand. Except I was literally eating my fajitas rather than figuratively. So instead of ink running down the corners of my mouth I had remnants of onions dangling from my lips. The leftover taste of Mexican stir-fry relaxing on my tongue. I couldn't get enough, but apparently I did (left the restaurant looking like a pregnant walrus). All I can say is thank you God for creating the people who created the person who created leggings. Stretchy pants for life.
My favorite author as of right now is Lauren Oliver. I have read two of her novels (as far as I know she only has two at least for my age group) and her third (a sequel to
Delerium called
Pandemonium) is due out in March. It was originally February, but I checked her website tonight and it said March. I feel like I have waited long enough! But no. I am honestly so upset right now. I'm going through withdrawl from not reading right now. Except I started a new book last night so we'll see how that goes.... I guess I just really needed to let out my frustrations that I will have to wait yet ANOTHER MONTH for the sequel. Nothing like being left on the edge by an author and having to wait a year or so to find out what's going to happen next!
If you spent the time reading this post-- WOW! You're an angel. Cause it's nothing special. It's something ordinary. Average. Except it's on my blog. So it rocks. Just kidding, I promise.
Anyway...because I ate Mexican food tonight...
It's a baby in a taco! Cute, don't you think?
Haha actually I love this post. Especially the part about stretchy pants for life. Great imagery in this post!
